On July 27, 2026, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the JA Group pavilion facility at the GREEN×EXPO 2027 (International Horticultural Expo 2027) site in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary General Masato Komura and Deputy Secretary General Hayami Sato of the GREEN×EXPO Association, President Yoshito Shinno and Executive Director Hitoshi Wakamatsu of JA-ZENCHU, as well as other related parties. Prior to the commencement of construction, attendees prayed for the safe and smooth progress of the project.
At the pavilion facility for which this groundbreaking ceremony was held, the JA Group aims to create a space where visitors can see, touch, and taste while experiencing the connection between “food” and “agriculture.” Through this experience, visitors will learn about and gain firsthand experience of the preciousness of being able to eat every day, as embodied in the Japanese phrase before eating “Itadakimasu”. This word embodies the richness of life enhanced by domestically produced agricultural and livestock products as well as the value and potential of agriculture that makes it all possible.
Information regarding the pavilion exhibits and programs will be updated on this special website in the future.
